CLEARANCE OF FORMER DEPARTMENT OF RESEARCH AS HISTORIC SITE.
Enabling Awareness Historic Site and the former Department of Investigation Police of Capital (1954-1989) held last Tuesday 26 April of the year in progress, was an important audiences, Human rights activists, victims, survivors and relatives of the disappeared from the Stroessner dictatorship, as well as with leading national authorities.
The said event was promoted by the Ministry of Interior and the Interinstitutional Commission for Installation and Implementation Network of Sites of Conscience and Paraguay.
The event was packed with excitement from the speeches of both Director of the DGVJR DP , Ms. Yudi Rolon, also by a representative of the National Movement of Victims of the Dictatorship , Mrs. Celsa Ramirez and finally the Minister of Interior, Rafael Filizzola.
Art also was present with the recitation of a poem by Poet Carmen Soler Paraguay, by Luis Casabianca, as well as filing a play that accounted for the Paraguayan people suffering victim of repression, unlawful and arbitrary detention, torture and all sorts of cruel and inhuman treatment.
Finally Arrow singers and Alberto Ricardo Rhodes gave an emotional closing, with songs that marked the struggles of generations of Paraguayans.
